Performance

There are three engines to choose from when buying the new Durango:

  • 6-liter V6 engine creating 295 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque is the base engine
  • R/T models have a 5.7-liter V8 that will pump out 360 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque in R/T trims
  • SRT 392 trims have an exclusive 6.2-liter V8 producing 475 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque

All three engines combine with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The SRT trim is only available with an all-wheel drive, while the other trims come standard with a rear-wheel drive or an optional all-wheel drive.
