Jeep Wrangler Performance and Capability
The 2024 Jeep Wrangler's base engine is a 3.6-liter V-6, producing 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. A six-speed manual is standard for enthusiasts who like a more hands-on experience. Or you can select the available eight-speed automatic transmission. Multiple four-wheel-drive options (Selec-Trac®, Command-Trac®, or Rock-Trac®) deliver assured handling in low-grip conditions, while tall ground clearance and steep approach/departure angles enable confident climbing, descending, and obstacle avoidance. Robust suspension tuning and superb axle articulation help the Wrangler maximize ground contact across uneven terrain.
The Wrangler also offers a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 270 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque (automatic transmission only). The turbo-four is standard in the Sahara trim and optional for all others except Rubicon 392, which boasts a prodigious 6.4-liter SRT® HEMI® V-8 with 470 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque.
While the Jeep Wrangler can venture beyond the asphalt in any configuration, the legendary Rubicon® trim maximizes your off-road prospects. It gets front and rear differential lockers, a disconnecting front stabilizer bar, extra-low-rang gearing, and 33-inch all-terrain tires.
